Abbie Ruth Bollig, 82, widow of Byron Bollig, passed away November 18, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Cornerstone Christian Center, with Pastor John Paul Cruz officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Abbie was born March 6, 1930 in San Augustine, Texas to John Brown and Tessie Rash Green. She was employed as a seamstress. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Ray and Patricia Smith, a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and David G. Martin, all of Brenham; grandchildren: Michael Smith, Michele Martindale, Derek Henson and wife Kristi, Matthew Henson and wife Lauren, Priscilla Smith and Jason Smith, Tanya House, and Stephanie House; great-grandchildren: Ryan Henson, Jacob Henson, Mackenzie Henson, Joshua Smith, Ryan Winslet, T. J. Wade, Colton House, Lauren Ansley, Raymond Martin III, and Bubba Ansley. Also surviving is a brother, John Earl Green of San Augustine, and Pat Henry Hardy of Santa Fe, Texas, as well as three sisters: Dora Lee Benefield of San Augustine and Wilma Polk, both of San Augustine, and Louise Hillyer of Melrose, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Doyle Wayne Smith. Serving as pallbearers are her grandchildren: Derek Henson, Matthew Henson, Timothy Cox, David Martin, Jacob Henson, and Roy Way. Memorials may be directed to Cornerstone Christian Center.
