Adele Marburger, 94, of Washington County, Texas, went home to her Savior January 18, 2022, after a brief hospitalization. She was born Adella Agnes Kocian January 21, 1927, in Lavaca County, Texas, to Vincent “Jim” and Anastasia “Stella” Kocian, but was known as Adele, and grew up in Praha, Texas.
On September 3, 1948, Adele married Arthur Marburger; they had five children, Natalie Daugherity, Royce Marburger, Barbara Huebner, Earl Marburger, and Sheila Marburger. After raising her children, Adele worked at Blue Bell Creameries in Brenham. She was a longtime member of the Brenham Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; son Earl; brothers Leo, Zef, and Theo (Sr.) Kocian; and sisters Lily Dunn and Lalie Bartos. Adele is survived by brother David Kocian, her children, grandchildren Travis Huebner, Andrew Daugherity, and Josh Huebner; great-grandchildren Brynnlee, Harrison, and namesake Halley Adele Huebner; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Adele was known for her hard work, her cooking, and her love of family, church, friends, babies, and baby animals too!
