Agnes Marie Smith, 83, of Brenham, died Monday, April 30, 2007 at Trinity Care Center. Mrs. Smith was born September 26, 1924 in Bay City, Texas to Ezra Allen Wycoff and Ruby Pearl Williams Wycoff. On January 10, 1944, she was married to Lavohn H. Red Smith. Mrs. Smith retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of The Pioneer Club, as well as the Sons of Hermann and Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Lavohn H. Red Smith of Brenham; a daughter, Colleen Owen of New Braunfels; brothers and sisters-in-law A. C. and Joann Wycoff of Spring, TX. and Jody Wycoff of Dripping Springs, TX.; grandchildren: Clay Zientek and wife Anna; a granddaughter, Emily Wilkins and husband Ricky; great-grandchildren Joshua Burdette, Mechelle Zientek, Karen Zientek, Calynn Zientek, Krystal Wilkins, and George Wilkins. Other survivors include an uncle: Lonnie and Rose Williams of Bay City; nephews: Billy Miller of Pearland and Ernest Miller of Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thurston Wycoff and sisters Elsie Martin and Naomi Smith. A graveside service for Agnes Marie Smith will be held in Prairie Lea Cemetery on May 3, 2007, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Dean E. Meade officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 2 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
