Alfred Dudenhoeffer Jr.

Alfred Joseph (Joe) Dudenhoeffer Jr., 62, of Brenham, died on July 29, 2017 at his residence. The husband of Belinda L. (Kirts) Dudenhoeffer. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Rehburg, with Pastor Denise Seymour officiating, burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family is on Wednesday, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Joe was born on May 10, 1955 to Alfred and Billie Joyce (Andrews) Dudenhoeffer Sr. Joe received his education from Midland Lee School, where he received his diploma and attended Texas A&M. On September 14, 1991 he married Belinda L. Kirts in Burton. Joe retired as a lineman for the City of College Station. Joe was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Rehburg where he served on the church council, he sang in the church choir, served on various committees in the church. After Joe retired, he worked for Home Depot for 5 years until his illness. He was a fisherman and loved to go to crawfish boils. He was a hands on person, was a hunter and loved to spend time with his family. He was there to help the family at anytime they needed help. He was an Aggie through and through and loved to watch sports, he loved to go dancing.

Survivors include his wife Belinda L. Dudenhoeffer, of Brenham, sons and daughters-in-law; TJ and Kaci Dudenhoeffer of Yorktown, TX., and David and Courtney Dudenhoeffer of Brenham, daughter; Jaci Dudenhoeffer of Brenham, mother; Billie Joyce Dudenhoeffer of Lampasas, TX., brother and sister-in-law; Scott and Lorna Dudenhoeffer of Hobbs, New Mexico, sister and brother-in-law; Amy and David Ford of Leander, TX., brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Lenny and Linda Kirts of Burton and David and Laurie Kirts of Burton, grandchildren; Steven, Adalea, Harlea, Kinslea, Lillea, Caleb, Jax, and Jace Dudenhoeffer, mother-in-law Pat Kirts, Aunts, Rebecca Dowdy, Arline Dudenhoeffer, Linda Schulz, Uncle Richard Hayes, also survived by numerous cousins.

Joe was preceded in death by his father Alfred J. Dudenhoeffer Sr., father-in-law Lyle D. Kirts, Uncle Paul Dudenhoeffer, Aunt Dorothy Crisp, Nephew Justin Dudenhoeffer, and Uncle Dan Dowdy.

Serving as pallbearers are; Michael Trial, Gene Richardson, Patrick Kirts, Leonard Kirts, David Kirts, and Bryan Kirts. Honorary Pallbearers are; Steven, Caleb, Jax, Jace, Adalea, Harlea, Kinslea and Lillea Dudenhoeffer , Kayla Kirts, Kyle Kirts and Midland Lee Rebels Class of 73.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice Brazos Valley or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
