Alice Bertha Macik, 94, of Brenham passed away on February 14,2024. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Zionsville Lutheran Church with Pastor Glenn Hohlt officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Alice was born June 1, 1929 to Ernest W. and Minnie (Borchgardt) Fiesler in Berlin, TX and was baptized on July 14, 1929 at Eben Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin by Pastor William Utesch. April 18, 1943 she was confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church of Salem by Rev. A.J. Mohr. She was united in marriage to Franklin Macik by the Rev. Bill Derrick also at Salem Lutheran Church.
She worked for Maddox Furniture for 28 years and then for Sealy Mattress as a seamstress before retiring. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Judy Niemeyer; son, Grady Niemeyer all of Brenham. Granddaughter and her husband, Aliceson and Kyle Lueckemeyer of Spring, TX. Great-grandchildren, Caleb Warren Lueckemeyer, Samuel Reid Lueckemeyer, and Kate Marie Lueckemeyer; sister, JoAnn Reimer; stepdaughter, Lillan Piver and step-grandson, Howard Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Franklin Macik; parents, Ernest and Minne Fiesler brother, Sigmund Fiesler; brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Margaret Fiesler and Ernest Fieseler, Jr. and Laura ; sister and brother-in-law, Esther and Alfred Lampe, Jr.; sister and brother-in law, Mildred and Joe Bartos and Ruth and Bud Wiehe; brother-in-law, James Reimer.
Pallbearers will be Neal Reimer, David Reimer, Chris Kaminski, Kevin Glenz, David Schaefer and Allan Bartos.
Memorials in Alice's name can be given to Acara Hospice, 601 Graham Rd., College Station, TX 77845.
