Alicia Henderson

Alice Henderson transitioned peacefully from this life to her eternal home in heaven Friday, November 10, 2023. Born February 18, 1921, she was almost 103 years old. Her life was full of love and happiness. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and lived a life of service to Him. She was a member of Brenham's First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death in 1983 by "her man" as she lovingly referred to her husband of 42 years, M. B. Henderson. Together, they had four daughters: Jere Longhofer of Brenham, Carol Miller of Brenham, Beth Matlock and husband Dixon of Austin, and daughter, Sandy Ely, who preceded her in death in 1990.

She is also survived by grandchildren: Jodie Zollman, her husband Barry, their sons, Trey, his wife Abby, their children, Peyton and Robert IV and Zack Zollman; Dana Horner and her son Max; Rodney Ely and his wife Yuka, their children, Isabelle and Luke; Brooks Turner and his wife Kristie, their children, Kaitlyn, Abby, Max and Hank.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 12, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 Main St., Brenham.

There will be a graveside service Monday, November 13, at 1:00 pm at Prairie Lea Cemetery.
