Allyne Corine Jaster of Burton, Texas died peacefully on March 12, 2008 in Trinity Care Center. She was born March 17, 1920, second child of seven to Henry William and Annie Witschorke Hodde. Allyne was educated in Boundary School. She was baptized on May 23, 1920 and confirmed her faith on March 25, 1934 at St. John''s Evangelical Church in Burton. She was married to Frankie John Jaster, Sr. on January 12, 1943 at St. John''s. They were owners of Burton Lumber and Supply Co. She was active in Circle #1, circle #2, and Mary Martha Sewing Circle at St. John''s and the Bluebonnet Club of Zion Lutheran, Sons of Hermann and Burton American Legion Auxiliary Unit #242 and the Auxiliary of the Burton Fire Dept. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Judith Bob Finke; Marilynn Larry Bond; Betty Ron Rudloff; and son and daughter-in-law Frankie Jr. and Dianne Jaster. Survivors also include 13 grandchildren: Jahn Jill Finke, Rhonda Danny Warren, Jael Guy Prothro, Brian Stefanie Sigler, Brandon Jaster, Rebecca John Mills, Adam Melissa Jaster, Robyn Chris Clifford, Amber Travis See, Lauren Jerome Brown, Sarah Shane Grant, Creighton Christie Jaster, Ryan Lauren Rudfloff, and 22 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law: Lorine Hodde, Vera Calvin Lehde, Annadell Raymond Blum, Dorothy Eberhardt, and brothers Ervin and Wilton Hodde, sisters-in-law Vernell Jaster and Selma Warmann, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frankie Jaster, Sr.; son, Darwin Jaster, brothers-in-law Erwin Eberhardt and Walter Jaster and sisters-in-law Janice Hodde and Valasta Hodde. Allyne took pride in her quilting and her flower garden, and enjoyed baking for others. Funeral services for Allyne Corine Jaster are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at St. John''s United Church of Christ in Burton. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at Memorial Oaks Chapel, and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton. Memorials may be given to the Frankie J. and Allyne Jaster Scholarship Fund in care of Burton State Bank, P. O. Box 8, Burton, Texas 77835.
