Alois Mackenroth, 59, of Burton, died Jan. 18, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Mackenroth was born May 5, 1945, the son of Willie and Hilda Muske Mackenroth in Burton, Texas. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul Lutheran Church of Shelby and attended Burton schools. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Shelby and the Sons of Hermann Lodge #28 of Shelby for 50 years and Shelby Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Hilda Mackenroth; and grandparents, Adolph and Lena Mackenroth and Herman and Louise Muske. He is survived by his brothers and their wives: Travis and Joyce of Burton and Elvis and Shirley of De Soto; nieces and their husbands, Kimberly Ann and Danny Cessop of Grand Prairie, Sara Lynn and Steven Ramirez of La Porte; nephews, Daniel Ray Mackenroth and wife Christine of Plano, Nathan Paul Mackenroth of Dallas and Dale Allen Mackenroth of Burton; great-nieces, Morgan and Makenzie Cessop of Grand Prairie and Elizabeth Mackenroth of Plano; and aunts, Lori Muske of Carmine and Olga Mackenroth of Nederland. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21 in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby with Pastor Pamela Werrell officiating. Burial will be in the Shelby Cemetery. Mr. Mackenroth will lie in state at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham from 4:00 p.m. today until 9:00 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 20. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20 in Foehner Funeral Home in Burton. Pallbearers will be Daniel Mackenroth, Nathan Mackenroth, Dale Mackenroth, Rawlin Reuter, Delbert Schmidt, Jerry Krebs, Jerry Joe Vaughn and Larry Sodek. Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Foehner Funeral Home in Burton.
