Alton Boehnemann

Alton Fred Pido Boehnemann, 80, of Burton, died Oct. 25, 2005, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mr. Boehnemann was born March 13, 1925, in Burton, to Otto and Ida Koerth Boehnemann. He was baptized April 26, 1925, in Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Greenvine and was confirmed April 2, 1939, in the same church. On April 12, 1953, he was married to Grace Allyne Lange in Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Greenvine. Mr. Boehnemann was a rancher and was affiliated with Four County Auction. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine and enjoyed socializing with his many friends, playing pitch and tending his cattle. His special joy was his great-grandson. Survivors include his wife, Grace Boehnemann of Burton; daughters and son-in-law, Diane Boehnemann of Burton, Debbie and Ricky Kieke of Burton and Donna Putnam of Brenham; grandchildren, Angie Fritsch and husband Bubba and Abby Kieke and special friend Dustin Majewsky; great-grandson, Chet Dawson Fritsch; sister and brother-in-law, Birdie Mae and William Borchardt of Brenham; sister-in-law, Annie Boehnemann of Burton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James and Linda Lange of Alvin, and Charles and Barbara Lange, all of Brenham; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws; brother, Harvey; son-in-law, Jeff Putnam; one brother-in-law; and a nephew. Pallbearers will be Nelson Felder, Jerry Schultz, Fortino Elizondo, Chester Lucherk, Douglas Borchardt, Kenny Richardson, Jerry Vaughn and Tim Stallings. Honorary pallbearers will be Janie and Don Dreyer, Glenwood Vierus, Todd Felder, Bob Knittel, Robert Wagner, Roy Schmidt, Otto Kammerer and Hilton Thompson. The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Greenvine with Pastor Pam Werrell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 in Foehner Funeral Home in Burton. Memorials may be given to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Greenvine or Hospice Brazos Valley.
