Andrew Murski

Andrew Stanley Murski, 92, of Brenham died November 5, 2005, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham, Texas. Mr. Murski was born November 22, 1912, in Brenham, to Stephan A. and Katie Nowak Murski. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham. He attended St. Mary s School. On January 26, 1937, he was married to Albina Florence Kenjura in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham. Mr. Murski was the owner of Alamo Grocery for 47 years. After retiring, he worked at Savitall Grocery and Buccaneer Food Store well into his 92nd year. He was a member of St. Mary s Catholic Church of Brenham. He was a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus and loved to fish and garden. He was a true gentleman and left a rich inheritance of faith and love for his children, grandchildren and all those who were privileged to know him. Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Raymond and Amanda Murski of Meridian, Thomas Bookie and Pamela Murski of Brenham and Clyde Matthew Murski of Colleyville; four grandchildren, Will Murski, Zach Murski, Mike Murski and Sarah Williams; five great-grandchildren, Harrison Murski, Lauren Murski, Gage Williams, Hudson Williams and Rowan Murski; sisters-in-law, Martha Murski, Lonie Mae Murski, Alma Kenjura and Annie Isles, all of Brenham; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Mary Lou Kenjura and Ted Kenjura, all of Brenham; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Albina Murski, on January 20, 2000; six brothers; and one sister. The funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8 in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham with Msgr. Benedict Zientek, celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Brenham. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, November 7, with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pallbearers will be Will Murski, Zach Murski, Robert Murski, Timmy Murski, Atwood Kenjura and Mike Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Murski, Darrell Murski and all other friends and relatives.
