Andrew Neil

March 1, 1970 — October 10, 2024

Andrew (Andy) Charles Neil, 54, went home to be with our Lord on October 10, 2024.

Andrew was born in Dalhousie, NB, Canada on March 1, 1970. He moved to Brenham, TX in May 2007 when he married the love of his life, Diane, May 5th 2007 and became an instant Father and Papa.

Andrew enjoyed being a girl dad to his 4 girls. He even did things he was afraid of, just to win us over. He was the BEST Papa too. Andrew spoiled each of his 8 grandsons and 3 granddaughters. Spending quality time with them was so special to him. He was also an amazing brother. Getting to be a big brother and little brother to 3 sisters he cherished and loved so much. Andy was also such a great son. Sometimes he enjoyed being the only Son! Andy also had so many nieces and nephews here in Texas as well as in Canada and loved each and every one. And he was so proud to watch them all grow into amazing adults.

Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Neil, in-laws Albert and Lee Brasher, granddaughter Chasity Lynn, grandson Graycen Johnson, 2 sister-in-laws, brother-in-law, Albert and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; daughters, Elizabeth, Jennifer (Kevin Luten), Stephanie and Kristen Dannhaus; his mother, Nadine (Neil) Rhodes (Jim); sister, Lori Nicholson (John); Kim LaPage (Don); Wendy (Bob McDermott); his grandchildren, Ray Sanchez, Rylee Dannhaus, Draegon Johnson, Dallas Luten, Colby White, Preston White, Avaree Dannhaus, Garrison Luten and Kaycen Johnson. Along with nieces, nephews and other family that he missed and thought about daily.

Andrew loved a good joke, morning hunting with his son-in-law, fishing and shopping! No matter how many hats he had, you could always catch him sneaking one in the house! He loved spending time with his friends, Lisa and Larry, Jim and Melissa (Kramer). Other friends include Debbie and Jeff Daily, his co-workers at Frito Lay and Dustin Gilbert. But most importantly, Andrew loved Jesus. His love for the Lord made him who he was, and the joy Andrew showed daily was contagious.

Pallbearers will be: Kevin Luten, Kevin LaPage, Shawn LaPage, Bob McDermott, Jim Kramer, Larry Grebe, Ray Sanchez and Draegon Johnson. Honorary pallbearers: Michael Scott, Matthew Scott, Dustin Gilbert, Dallas Luten, Kaycen Johnson, Garrison Luten, Colby White, Nicholas McDermott and Preston White.
