Anita Lou Bigley Martin, 79, passed away November 8, 2009 in Brenham, TX. Anita was born April 2, 1930 in Houston, Texas to Leander Joseph and Emma Louise McCartey Bigley. A graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston, Anita began her professional life as a secretary at Humble Oil and Refining Company, then was for many years the proprietor of an antiques and arts and craft shop. A long time member of Epworth Methodist Church, Anita love dancing, music, and playing cards and dominoes with her many friends. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Pamela Martin Dillard, and her beloved husband Billy W. Martin. She is survived by her son Kevin W. Martin, granddaughter Jennifer Lea Coward, great grandchildren Logan Tyler Hardwick and Pamela Fayth Hardwick, aunt Kathryn Bigley, cousins Joyce Bigley, Barbara Bigley Czencz, and Karen Bigley, son-in-law Craig Dillard, sisters-in-law Danie Martin Fisher and Shirley Martin Reed, brother-in-law Leo Clyde Fisher, nieces Sherry Reed Baker and Karen Fisher Omara; and nephews Terry Fisher, Bruce Reed and Gary Fisher. Memorial service: Sat., November 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Kruse Memorial Lutheran Village Chapel, 1700 E. Stone, Brenham, TX 77833.
