Anna Catharine Courtney Bell December 19, 1930 – September 23, 2014 Her children were her greatest accomplishment in Life. Along with teaching spiritually and secularly Her aim was to always live without strife. To please, to pray to respond to every person she met. What people thought was always paramount. Anna graduated from High School in 1946 at the age of 15. She worked for a few years before going to Southwestern Assembly of God College. She was there for two years before returning home. She married Clarence "Lee" Bell on March 27, 1953. She had a variety of jobs during the years of having her three children. In 1967 when the youngest started school, Anna started back to college and received her Bachelor''s degree. She later received her Master''s Degree in English of American Literature. She taught at Inola ISD in Oklahoma for 22 years. She retired in 1991 and she and Lee traveled the U.S. building churches in the MAPS program of the Assembly of God. They settled in Texas to be close to their children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Clarence Lee Bell, her children Tonee and Rick Ferris of San Angelo, Texas, Randy Bell of Montgomery, Texas, and Brad and Tammie Bell of Washington, Texas. Her grandchildren, Brandon Bell, Melvin Louis Sutherland IV, Liberty Bell Mann, Ashley Bell Bain, Michael Collins II, Amanda Roberts, Bryce Benshoof, Ashley Cochran, Crystal Ferris, Dakota Cochran and Kaitlyn Bell 15 great grandchildren, her sister Betty Dedrick and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Aura Courtney, her granddaughter Courtney McNeese and four brothers and sisters. Serving as pallbearers are David Baldwin, Jon Hall, Branden Bell, Crystal Ferris, Dakota Cochran, Jeb Majewski, and Dylan Heaton. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a. m., Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Dottie Compton officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery in Chappell Hill. The family will receive friends and relatives at Memorial Oaks Chapel Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Funeral arrangements for Anna Courtney Bell are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham, Texas.
