Anna Grimm Klie was born in Gutach, Germany on August 13, 1916 and died in Brenham, Texas on July 29, 2011. She was baptized and confirmed in the German Lutheran Church in Gutach. She migrated to Brooklyn, New York in 1938 to marry Ludwig Klie. They were married on March 19, 1939, then lived and worked together in their Delicatessens for over sixty years. Anna had been a widow for ten years and moved to Texas in September of 2008. Here, she lived at Argent Court until she had a stroke and moved to her daughter s home. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Anne and Walter Schindehette of Brenham, Texas and Joan and Roy Lundquist of Commack, New York; eight grandchildren and in-laws, Jon and Lisa Schindehette of Kent, Washington, Elizabeth and Thomas Friedrich of Georgetown, Texas, Stephan and Deborah Schindehette of Westerville, Ohio and Laura and Carl Oberrender of Austin, Texas, Mark and SueAnn Lundquist of West Sayville, New York, Paul and Maureen Lundquist of Sayville, New York, Laura and Arnold Larson of Stanwood, Washington, Keith and Denise Lundquist of Sayville, New York; 23 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews in Germany. Anna s greatest joy was being with family and friends. She will be missed, but remembered for her smiles and her enduring faith in her Lord. There will be a Memorial Service Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Christ Lutheran Church, Brenham, at 2:00 p.m. The funeral and burial will be held in Center Moriches, New York.
