Anna Schulenberg

Anna Belle Dacke Schulenberg, born October 18, 1917 in West Columbia, Texas to Elmer and Annie Burford Dacke, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 25, 2006. Anna Belle graduated valedictorian of the West Columbia High School Class of 1934, married Walter Jim Schulenberg on June 20, 1940, and moved to Freeport Jones Creek in 1941 . A long-time member of St. Paul s Lutheran Church in Freeport, she was active in women s ministries and taught children s Sunday and Bible school classes. She also led Brownie and Girl Scout groups. Anna Belle was an accomplished seamstress and made beautiful clothes for her daughters, nieces and special clients. She was a loving wife and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. Anna Belle and Jim retired to Burton in 1978 and enjoyed trailoring around the U.S., dancing with their Dance Club, and participating in activities at St. Paul s Lutheran Church of Rehburg. They moved to College Station in 1998. Anna Belle leaves to treasure her memories: daughters, Linda Bullard and husband Paul of College Station and Sherry Anderson of Clear Lake City; grandsons, Jason Bullard and wife Tiffany and Brady Bullard and wife Jackie of College Station; precious great-grandchildren Shelby Raphael of Friendswood; Alexis, Sophie, and Zoe Bullard and Brady Michael, Noah, and Jackson Bullard, all of College Station; sister, Joyce Dacke and husband Lloyd of Conroe; brother Charles Dacke and wife Peggy of Lolita; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Schulenberg, Mickey Jones, and Hazel Dacke; brother-in-law, Frank Weathers; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Jim Schulenberg; granddaughter, Lisa Anderson Raphael; brothers, Harold, Bruce, Wayne, and Leslie Dacke and sister, Montie Dacke Weathers. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., October 27, 2006, at St. Paul s Lutheran Church, Rehburg, Pastor Larry Henrichs officiating. Pallbearers will be Jason Bullard, Brady Bullard, Larry Weathers, Craig Weathers, James Schulenberg, and David Blakey.
