Annadell Blum, 83, of Brenham, died March 24, 2010, at her residence. Mrs. Blum was born December 30, 1926, in Burton, Texas, to Henry and Annie Witschorke Hodde. She was baptized April 24, 1927 in St. John Evangelical Church of Burton by Pastor Adolph Walton and was confirmed September 22, 1940 in the same church by Pastor Edwin Eiben. She attended Boundary School. On December 19, 1948, she was married to Raymond William Blum in St. John United Church of Christ in Burton by Pastor C.H. Schwengel. Mrs. Blum was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville and was a member of the Mary Martha Circle. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Blum of Brenham; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Janie Blum and Darrell and Linda Blum, all of Brenham; daughter, Annette Luedke and Marvin Green of New Braunfels; grandchildren, Catherine and Matt Kenjura, Matthew Luedke and Lisa Ybaben, Emily and Warren Lee, Alyssa Luedke and Paul Martinez and Sarah and Dusty Griffin; great-grandchildren, Charlie Kenjura and Maggie Lee; brothers, Erwin Hodde of La Grange and Wilton Hodde of Burton; sisters and brother-in-law, Lorina Hodde of Burton, Veradell and Calvin Lehde of Brenham and Dorothy Eberhardt of Burton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mildred and Fred Pelkemeyer of Brenham; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Fred and Bernadine Blum of Brenham; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Allyne Jaster; and son-in-law, Billy Luedke. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, March 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be held Friday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville with Pastor David Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Howard and Verlin Kruse, Debbie Lehrmann, Jean Winters, John and Jane Murphy, along with members of the Mary Martha Circle and the Bluebonnet Club of Zion Lutheran Church.
