Christmas time was always a highlight – Annie coming with presents. She picked them up after school in Burton, had sleepovers at her house and showed concern for them. For over 30 years Mrs. Glaesmann worked at Brenham Rest Home under the direction of Mr. Askins and Alma Eve Hodde. She was a member of St. John''s United Church of Christ in Burton. Mrs. Glaesmann was a very special person to everyone who knew her. Survivors include numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces; and special friends, Mamie Imhoff and Lois McGlauchlen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis W. Glaesmann; parents; brothers, August Arndt, Herman Arndt and Henry Anrdt; and sisters, Bertha Hehman, Elsie Mackenroth, Minnie Meyer, Hilda Arndt and Olga Koopman. Special thanks go to Barbara and Ron Pohlmeyer, Billie and Gene Cooper and staff at Gazebo Terrace for their excellent care for many years. Also, thanks to the staff of Argent Court and Brenham Rest Home for their care. Enough thanks cannot be expressed for the love of her church and especially Pastor Glen Schoeneberg, Dottie Miller, Gladys Avis and so many of the church ladies groups that visited her.
