Annie was born September 2, 1932 in Latium, Texas. She met the love of her life, Frank Pomykal, at a Halloween Carnival in Welcome. They married November 1, 1952 after he returned home from the Korean War. Annie's greatest joy was to cook for everyone. She was most well known for her "Granny cookies" and Dill Pickles. Annie was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 19. She never complained and never slowed down. She would tell everyone her "hot tub" is what kept her going all those years. The last two and half years, Annie lived with her son, Brice, and her daughter-in-law Kalisa, grandson Hunter, and Mrs. Fischer, her daughter-in-law's mother. Mrs. Fischer and Annie looked after each other these last 2 years and played dominos every afternoon.
Mrs. Pomykal is survived by her son, Brice Pomykal and his wife Kalisa; her daughter Aneya Elbert; her grandchildren, Joey, Katy and her husband, Will, Sarah, Allison, Hunter and Kody; her great-grand daughter, Joee; her sister, Barbara Moseley; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Pomykal is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Frank; her parents Cyril and Johanna Bednar; siblings Della, Raymond and Mary.
Serving as pallbearers are Charlie Adaminek, Donald Bednar, Mike Mosely, Ronnie Mosely, David Cavanas, and Billy Cavanas. Cindy Adimcik will be an honorary pallbearer.
