Arline Pihl Bray, 92, passed away on November 19, 2018, at Colonial Oaks Assisted Living in Katy, TX.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 23 at Carmine Cemetery in Carmine, with Pastor Rich Nelson officiating.
Mrs. Bray was born September 2, 1926, in Malden, MA, to Carl Magnus and Arline Frances (Maxwell) Pihl. She was married to Lloyd L. Bray on September 20, 1944. They were married for 72 years.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Carl Andrew and Evelyn Bray of Houston and James Winfred and Norma Bray of Alvin; daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Thomas Hughes of Center; grandchildren, Catherine Foote, Ann Rewis, Michelle Hughes, Ellen Thompson, Evan Bray, Barbara Allen and Amy Campbell; great-grandchildren: Kerrie, Kyrie and Christian Foote, Ariel Bradford, Blake Hughes, Courtland Pelt, Emily Rose Hughes, Kelly and Adam Thompson, Michael, Kaitlen and Robert Cleveland, Jonathan, Danielle, Michelle and Melissa Allen and Aislinn Campbell; great-great-grandchild, Caleb Bradford; and sister-in-law, Jenny McGee.
Mrs. Bray was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; her twin sister, Carla Thigpenn; and grandson, George Thomas Hughes.
Serving as pallbearers are Carl Bray, James Bray, Tommy Hughes, Evan Bray, Blake Hughes and Courtland Pelt.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Vantage Hospice of Katy or Salem Lutheran Church of Brenham.
