Arn Ottmer

Arn Clark Ottmer, 56, of Industry, husband of Shelley Foley Roe Ottmer, died February 4, 2010 in Plaza Specialty Hospital in Houston. Arn was born March 18, 1953 in Dallas to Vance C. and Paula Williams Ottmer. On October 13, 2007, he married Shelley Roe in Indiana. Arn worked with concrete restoration in the construction business. He was known to drop everything to help others. He never met a stranger, a generous and selfless person who always gave more than he received. Arn loved his family dearly, and enjoyed playing and wrestling with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Shelley Ottmer of Industry; mother, Paula Ottmer of Brenham; daughter Kristina Janes and husband Brian of Brenham; sons Sam Roe and Brian Roe and wife Martha of Indiana; daughter Amy Yoder and husband Randy of Cypress; grandchildren: Hayley and Riley Janes; Brittany, MacKenzi, Kelsee, Alexis, and Lynzee Roe, Katelyn Yoder, brothers Carl Lee and wife Jan of Virginia, David Ottmer and wife Kristene of Brenham; brother-in-law, Gary Wagner of Illinois, a sister-in-law, Janet Hughes of Illinois, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Memorial services for Arn will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Father Tim Bucek, officiant. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. with service to follow immediately. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
