Arnoldo Contreras

Arnoldo Contreras Farias, 65 of Brenham, died December 30, 2022 in Bryan, Texas.

Arnoldo was born January 1, 1957 in Aguililla, Michoacan to Adolfo and Isabel Contreras.

On October 4, 1980 he married Esperanza Valencia and they shared 42 years of marriage. He deeply loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His beautiful smile, great sense of humor and laid-back attitude made him easy to love. He had a fondness for spicy foods, chiles rellenos, and queso de puerco. Some of his favorite hobbies were anything to do with fishing, hunting and shooting guns.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Esperanza Contreras of Brenham; sons and daughters-in-law: Arnoldo Contreras Jr. & wife, Herlinda of Brenham, Juan Contreras & wife, Crystal of Groves, TX; daughter: Isabel Contreras of Brenham; grandchildren: Isabella Anzaldua, Santiago Anzaldua, Diego Anzaldua, Rodrigo Sebastian Anzaldua, Juan Benjamin Contreras, Isaac Contreras, Noah Contreras, Nevaeh Contreras, Jonah Contreras and Aubrey Contreras, father: Adolfo Contreras, Sr. of Palo Alto, CA; brother: Adolfo Contreras of Palo Alto, CA; sisters and brothers-in-law: Imelda & Ismael Oseguera of Menlo Park, CA, Evelia & Fernando Cruz of Palo Alto, CA, Estella & Duane Wolf of Hughson, CA, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Arnoldo is preceded by his mother, Isabel Contreras and brothers, Carlos Contreras and Rogelio Contreras.

Visitation with the family is 9am-2pm Friday, January 6 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main St., Brenham with the funeral service beginning at 2pm. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.
