Barbara Baranowski

Barbara Ann Winkelmann Baranowski, 52, the wife of Max Baranowski, Jr. of Round Top, Texas died in their residence on Saturday afternoon, August 7, 2010. Born in Brenham, Texas on August 25, 1957, Barbara was the daughter of Lee Roy & Delores Dippel Winkelmann. She was baptized and confirmed in St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem. She graduated from Bellville High School, attended Blinn Junior College and San Jacinto College. Barbara, a registered nurse, fulfilled her vocation in Bohne Memorial Hospital, later to become Trinity Medical Center and Brenham State Supported Living Center. On August 1, 1987 Barbara was united in matrimony with Max Baranowski, Jr. in St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem. Barbara and Max completed their family with the births of their daughters Amy and Sara. Along with taking care of her family, Barbara enjoyed spending time with her special friends Charlie & LaTrell Jankowiak, Charles & Darlene Konieczny, Mike & Shirley Thorpe, Ann Hunt and Sharon Brod. Barbara is survived by her husband Max Baranowski; daughters, Amy Baranowski and Sara Baranowski, all of Round Top, Texas; her parents, Lee Roy & Delores Winkelmann of Bellville, Texas; her sister, Patricia Lynn Winkelmann of La Grange, Texas; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert & Becky Winkelmann of Bellville; her sister and brother-in-law: Pam & James Herrmann of Bellville, Texas. Surviving as well are her brother-in-law, Clem Baranowski; her sisters-in-law and their spouses: Dorothy Antkowiak & Dale Green, Patsy & Keith Kuhlmann and Marie & Don Prenzler, all of Brenham. Other surviving relatives include numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Barbara is preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Max & Martha Baranowski. The family will receive callers in Memorial Oaks Chapel; 1306 W. Main St. in Brenham, Texas on Monday evening, August 9 between 6 o''clock and 8 o''clock. The funeral service will be held in Bethlehem Lutheran Church at Round Top on Tuesday afternoon, August 10, 2010 at 2 o''clock with Pastor John David Nedbalek officiating. Burial will follow in the Richter Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers are: Wesley Winkelmann, Ryan Antkowiak, Tyler Winkelmann, Matthew Prenzler, Nicholas Prenzler, Braeden Herrmann. The family suggests that memorial contributions be given to Bethelehem Lutheran Church in Round Top. Funeral services are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, Inc.; 1306 W. Main St. Brenham, Texas.
