Barbara Ann Dickmann Wagner, 74, widow of Alois Wagner, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013 at St. Joseph''s Regional Health Center in Bryan after a brief illness. Barbara was born October 5, 1938 in Round Top, Texas to W. H. and Laura Keilers Dickmann. She was baptized December 10, 1939 by Rev. Julius Bosshard, and confirmed in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top on March 29, 1953 by Rev. A. B. Weiss. She married Alois Wagner on March 29, 1980 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Barbara attended Round Top Carmine High School, and was retired from Winedale Historical Center. She was also a caregiver for numerous individuals. She enjoyed her cattle and the outdoors. Barbara was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Farm Bureau, and an auxiliary member of the Round Top-Warrenton Fire Dept. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Benno and Anita Wagner. Survivors include: sister, Sarita Mutscher and husband Ken Mutscher of Brenham; brother-in-law, Robert Wagner of Winedale; sister-in-law Annie Chovanec and husband Edward of Columbus, brother-in-law William "Bill" Wagner and wife, Linda of Paige; three nephews: Kevin Mutscher and family of Brenham, Brian Chovanec and family of Columbus, Donnie Wagner and family of Houston; and three nieces: Shannon Miller and family of Austin, Brenda Larson and family of Houston, and Wendy Emmons and family of Paige, and numerous cousins and friends. Kevin Mutscher, Donnie Wagner, Brian Chovanec, Jimmie Loewe, Wilbert Loewe, Charles Siegmund, John Siegmund, Robert Hinze, and Wade Eilers will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Percy and Norma Rudloff, Nelson and Ann Aschenbeck, Carolyn Bruening, and Royce and Barbara Bartels. She will lie in state at Memorial Oaks Chapel until 10 a.m. Tuesday, and will be in state at Foehner Funeral Home beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Visitation with the family will be held at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top with Rev. John David Nedbalek officiating. Burial will follow in Richter Cemetery near Round Top. Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or any favorite charity.
