Barbara Zientek

Barbara Jean Zientek, 70, wife of Ted Zientek, passed away January 29, 2013. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., February 1, 2013 in St. Mary''s Catholic Church, with Father Benedict Zientek officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives at Memorial Oaks Chapel Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Barbara Zientek was born November 18, 1942 in Houston to James Walter and Wilma Larrigan Bramblett. She was baptized and confirmed June 1, 1958 in Houston. On Feb. 23, 1962, she married Ted Zientek in Brenham, where they made their home. She was a member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church in Brenham. Barbara enjoyed dancing, and especially ballroom dancing on skates. Hunting and playing bingo were also favorite pastimes. She treasured time spent with her husband and her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Ted Zientek of Brenham; son Kenneth S. Zientek and Mary Heritage, also of Brenham; grandchildren: Tanner Ross Zientek, Jimmy J. Heritage, Jessica E. Heritage, and Joshua L. Arnold; brothers and sisters-in-law Jim and Dori Bramblett of La Grange; Walter and Iva Post of Somerville, Ronnie and Ginny Bramblett of Cedar Park, and Darrel and Becky Ewing of Dallas; sisters and brothers-in-law Vicky and Kim Nelson of Houston, and Cheryl and Steve Cantrell of Greenville; sister-in-law Virginia and Marvin Wellmann of Brenham and brother-in-law Billy and Shirley Zientek of Conroe, as well as numerous others nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Walter J. and Flovia Larrigan, her mother, Willma Parish and father, James Walter Bramblett. Serving as pallbearers are Kenneth S. Zientek, Tanner Ross Zientek, Josh Lee Arnold, Jimmy J. Heritage, Mark Wellmann, and James Bramblett. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Wellmann, Kenneth Bramblett, Ryan Nelson, and Brent Post. Memorials may be directed to the Washington County Healthy Living Association of Brenham. Funeral arrangements for Barbara Jean Zientek are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
