Ben Franklin Bosse, 74, of Brenham passed away on Sunday, April 5th at Hospice Brazos Valley Inpatient Facility. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 12th at the Burton Community Center at 4pm with Pastor Greg Felder officiating. The family requests casual dress to honor Ben''s country lifestyle. Ben was born September 15, 1940 in Burton to Otto Charles and Lydia Alma Hedt Bosse. He was baptized on December 8, 1940 by Pastor Paul Kniker and confirmed on April 3, 1955 by Pastor EH Schwengel in St John''s Evangelical and Reformed Church in Burton. On October 12, 1968 he married Barbara Jean Kramer at St. John''s United Church of Christ in Burton by Pastor Bruno Schroeder. Ben was self - employed doing custom farm work. He took pride in his equipment, always making sure it was clean and maintained. Ben was always ready to assist others, lending a helping hand to friends and neighbors. He enjoyed cooking turkey stew, and barbecuing with Walter Guelker and Alfred Sommerfeld. Ben also enjoyed driving his gator and watching the deer on the farm. Ben was a member of St John''s United Church of Christ in Burton, where he had served on the church council. He also was a past director of the Texas Farm Bureau, and had been a member of the Son''s of Hermann. Survivors include his wife Barbara, daughters and sons- in-law Christine and Keith Muehlbrad of Burton, and Amanda and Jonathan Prior of Brenham; grandchildren Chase and Karra Muehlbrad of Burton, and Bailee and Blake Prior of Brenham; sister Ora Lee Goldberg, niece Debbie Goldberg and great nephew Caleb Goldberg all of Burton. He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law Henry and Lorene Kramer, brother-in-law Elwood Goldberg and niece Agnes Goldberg. Memorials made be given to Hospice Brazos Valley, 302 East Blue Bell Road, Brenham, Tx 77833.
