Bennie Pfeiffer, Jr.

Bennie Pfeiffer, Jr., 69, of West Point, Texas, died January 27, 2010. Born in Shelby, Texas on May 13, 1941, to Bennie Sr. and Bertha Merkel Pfeiffer, he was baptized in St. Paul''s Lutheran Church of Shelby, where he was also later confirmed. He served his country in the U. S. Army and was a Viet Nam War Veteran. He was employed in the Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice. Survivors include his father, Bennie Pfeiffer, Sr. of La Grange; a daughter, Angie Patrick of Huntsville, five grandchildren, a great grandson and a great granddaughter, as well as a brother, Odis Pfeiffer and wife Peggy of West Point. Graveside services for Bennie Pfeiffer, Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2010 in the Shelby Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
