Bernhardt Lyle Jaeger, 77, of Houston, died December 13, 2011 in Houston Northwest Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2011 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine, with Pastor Rich Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Jaeger-Witte Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Mr. Jaeger was born October 23, 1934 in Burton to Henry Claud and Lillie Laura Neumann Jaeger. He married Lois Voet in Marysville, KS. on June 27, 1958. She preceeded him in death October 15, 2011. Bernhardt was employed as a truck driver. Survivors include son Mark Allen Jaeger and wife Cathy of Houston; daughters Denise Ray and husband John of Houston and Wilma Eden and husband Johnny of Willis; grandchildren: James, Adam, Scott, and Megan Ray; Jessica and Monica Zwiazek; Christopher, Shauna, and Moirghan Jaeger; Jared and Allen Fellers; great-grandchildren: Melody Thiel and Liliana Zwiazek; brothers and sisters-in-law Larry and Ruth Jaeger and Jerry and Paula Jaeger; sisters Dolores Gummelt, Jeanette Zemanek, and Edith Featherston and husband Earl, and brother-in-law James Voet. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois; his parents, three brothers, and one grandchild. Memorials may be directed to Emmanual Lutheran Church of Greenvine.
