Bernice Kay

Bernice Clara Kieke Kay, 95, widow of John C. Kay, died July 5, 2017 in The Woodlands.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 7, 2017 at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pastor Phil Fenton will officiate.

Bernice Kay was born September 21, 1921 in Burton to Henry and Lydia Nitscke Kieke. She worked as a beautician.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Carolyn Kay of Conroe; granddaughters Michelle Karp and husband Steven; Cheryl Mazurowski ; Tara Gamble and husband Chad; great-grandchildren Reagan Gamble, Mason Karp and Jenna Karp, as well as a great grandson, Trent Gamble. Also surviving is Murry Kieke. Mrs. Kay was predeceased by her husband, John, in 2002.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brenham.
