Berry Lee Goldberg, 89, of Brenham passed away on January 9, 2024.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Rehburg with Pastor Ken Weiss officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Berry Lee was born on May 17, 1934 at home in Burton, to John and Lillie (Fischer) Goldberg. He attended Rehburg Country School and Burton High School. On May 12, 1972 he was united in marriage to Delores Arndt. He worked as Plant Manager at Coca Cola for 36 years and served as Constable of Precinct 4 in Washington County for 28 years.
He was a neat story teller, always making people laugh. His favorite pastimes were visiting with friends, deer hunting, playing poker, having a cool one, cooking for friends, dancing with his wife, Delores and traveling with the McClendon Bus Group.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Delores; sister-in-law, Nora Lee Goldberg. Niece and her husband, Brenda and Marcus Randermann; nephew and his wife, Larry and Tammy Goldberg and great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Lisa Lynn Goldberg; parents, John and Lillie (Fischer) Goldberg; brother, Monroe Goldberg; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Erna Arndt; niece, Cynthia Goldberg and furry friend Peppermint Patty.
The family would like to thank special caregivers Charlie Schroeder and Janice Randermann McClendon and also Acara Hospice.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Schroeder, Rickey Fischer, Darrell Fischer, Roger Schulte, Jerry Merten, Willie Brown, Larry Goldberg and Marcus Randermann. Honorary Pallbearers will be former employees of Coca Cola, Brenham, Texas.
