Beryl Muriel Van Lenten, 72, of Brenham, wife of Robert Van Lenten, passed away August 30, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2011 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Pastor Matthew Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Beryl Van Lenten was born May 27, 1939 in Passaic, New Jersey to William N. and Muriel Jones Patterson. She was baptized into the Christian faith in July of 1939. On December 3, 1960, she married Robert Van Lenten. Survivors include her husband, Robert Van Lenten of Brenham; sons Robert William Van Lenten, and Steven Jesse Van Lenten and wife Brandie, all of Houston; daughters and sons-in-law Donna Lorraine and George Lester Call, Jr.; Laura Eileen and Steven Thomas Mahan, and Karen Beth and Michael Scott Jackson, all of Houston; grandchildren: Joshua Scott Renninger, Adam Wesley Jackson, Emily Nicole Mahan, Matthew James Jackson, Luke Michael Jackson, and Gwen Elizabeth Van Lenten. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Muriel Patterson, and a brother, William Patterson. Serving as pallbearers are George Call, Steven Mahan, Robert Van Lenten, Michael Jackson, Steven Van Lenten, Brent Couzens-Schultz, and Joshua Scott Renninger.
