Bessie Surovik

Bessie Mikeska Surovik, widow of Daniel Otto Surovik, died May 4, 2009 in Trinity Medical Center. She was born February 1, 1925 in Abbott, Texas to Frank and Francis Hejl Mikeska. She was employed at Blinn College as a cafeteria worker. Bessie is survived by her son, Tom Surovik of Brenham; a granddaughter, Kara Surovik Thompson and husband Josh, a grandson Marshall Surovik, and a brother, George Surovik of Abbott. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and six sisters. Memorials may be directed to a favorite charity. Services for Bessie Surovik will be held Friday, May 8, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Rev. Joel Hein will officiate. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main. Visitation will begin after 12 noon Thursday until service time Friday.
