Betty Brisbin

October 26, 1941 — February 7, 2018

Betty Jean Brisbin went to be with her Lord, February 7, 2018. She was born in Houston, Texas on October 26, 1941 to Ruby and Rudy Zorn. They preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband Clifford Brisbin (Brenham), two sons Brian Brisbin (Houston) and wife Casandra with their children Catori and Delsyn, and Martin Brisbin (Houston) and wife Christy, sister Patsy Brady (Granbury, TX.) and husband Michael Brady, two nieces and one nephew, four great nephews and 3 grand nieces. She was preceded in death by her niece Kelly Brady.

Betty had a passion for water and outdoors. She was a team captain at Stephan F. Austin school swim team, participated in the Girl Scouts and archery. She graduated of Sacred Heart Dominican College with a Bachelor in Science in Nursing. Following her graduation, she married the love of her life Clifford. They were married for 52 years of marital bliss. Starting her career at Saint Joseph Hospital in labor and delivery. After raising her two sons, she returned to her nursing career at San Jose Clinic in Houston, Texas. She loved to spend time with her family at their Port O’Conner beach house. She enjoyed swimming, water skiing, beach combing and collecting shells.

When Betty and Clifford retired in 1999, they moved to Brenham, Texas. They became very active members in their community and joined First United Methodist Church, She enjoyed swimming at the Brenham recreation center and making greeting cards with the church.

Betty is well loved and will be missed by many. Visitation service will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham, TX., 77833, on Sunday, February 11 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Celebration of Betty’s life will be held at First United Methodist Church, 408 North Baylor, Brenham, TX 77833, on Monday, February 12 at 10:00 a.m.
