Betty Elkins

Betty Jo Peacock Elkins, 81, of Houston, widow of Curtis Lee Elkins, Jr., died January 13, 2008 in Seven Acres Senior Care Services in Houston. Mrs. Elkins was born on February 2, 1926 in Corsicana, Texas to Edmon Albert Peacock and Etta Lee Draper Peacock. She was employed as a medical secretary. Survivors include a son Randall Elkins and wife Candace of Houston; daughter Cheryl Schlessler and husband John of Houston; four brothers, one sister, and five grandchildren. Funeral services for Betty Jo Elkins will be held at 11:00 a.m. on January 17, 2008 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. The Rev. Janet S. Wiley will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
