Betty Wehmeyer

Betty Jo Wehmeyer, 67, of Brenham, died Feb. 22, 2016, at Brenham Nursing and Rehab Center.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Salem with Pastor Charles Parnell officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.

Miss Wehmeyer was born May 3, 1948, in Washington County, TX, to Paul Jr. and Eileen (Wehring) Wehmeyer. She was baptized June 6, 1948, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church by Pastor W.C. Poehlmann and was confirmed April 5, 1962 at the same church by Pastor O.K. Oelke. She was a graduate of Brenham High School and worked as a hairdresser for many years.

Survivors include her uncles and aunts, Otto and Doris Wehring of Brenham, Harry and Jeanette Wehring of Brenham and Paul Zuehlke of Bryan; numerous cousins; and special friend Gertrude Addicks.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Randermann, Larry Kieke, Larry Bockhorn, Darrell Zuehlke, Travis Boeker, Jimmy Eickhoff and Chris Klahn. Honorary pallbearers will be Chester Hintz, Michael Addicks, Bonnie Brown. Betty''s cousins will also serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family thanks all the great nurses, aides and office staff at Brenham Nursing and Rehab Center for their kindnesses.
