Beulah Cannon White Wood, 102, of Brenham, died March 17, 2005, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mrs. Wood was born Sept. 24, 1902, in Bonham, Texas, to John Wesley and Nellie Lenora White Cannon. She was raised in the Baptist faith, believing Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a born-again Christian. On Oct. 16, 1920, she married Rufus Carl White in Childress. He preceded her in death. On Nov. 9, 1958, she married Sterling Jack Wood. He also preceded her in death. Mrs. Wood was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Survivors include her daughters, Johnnie Hamilton and Donna Jean Hooper, both of Brenham; daughter-in-law, Dorothy of Fort Worth; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Ray White, on July 13, 1997; and three sisters. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19 in Memorial Oaks Chapel with Rev. Glen Schoeneberg officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be given to Trinity Medical Center Foundation, 700 Medical Pkwy., Brenham, TX 77833. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
