Beverly Caloudas

Beverly June Caloudas, 78, matriarch of Nueces Canyon Ranch in Brenham, Texas passed on to be with the Lord on Monday, January 28, 2019.

Beverly was born in Houston on August 28, 1940 to Marvin and Junie Walker Bonds, and was baptized in the Church of Christ at the age of 11 on April 10, 1952. After graduating from business school, she married George Steve Caloudas on June 20, 1964 in Carrizo Springs, and led an adventurous life by his side for 32 years. Together, they braved the airline business, restaurant business, and ranching. They raised four children and fostered many others through the Christian Child Help Foundation.

In 1984, they built the Nueces Canyon Ranch. When George died suddenly in 1996, Beverly carried on his legacy in the horse business, catering business, and hospitality industry. She loved interior decorating and antiquing with her friends, but her greatest joy was in knowing that her children and grandchildren are walking in the Truth.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Leroy Gragert; her children: Steve Caloudas, Constantine and Angele Caloudas, Tracey and Troy Cox, Cindy and Jeremy Phillips; her grandchildren: Shelby, Dylan, Brandt, Jason, and Faith, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham, TX, with Don Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery of Chappell Hill. The family will greet friends at 9:30 a.m., prior to the service, at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

The family would like to extend thanks to the caring staff of Argent Court Assisted Living, the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Hospice Brazos Valley. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Brazos Valley.
