Beverly Denton

Beverly Stewart Denton, 83, wife of Paul Denton, passed away January 5, 2014 at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, January 10, 2014 at Brenham Church of Christ with Pastor Doug Hall and Gene Palvado officiating. Burial with a graveside service will take place at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Madisonville at 2 p.m. Friday. Beverly Denton was born August 18, 1930 in Houston to Langston Brooks and Gertrude Williams Stewart. After completing her education, she married Paul Denton on July 16, 1949. She took care of her family as a homemaker, and was a member of the Brenham Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Paul Denton; son, Gary Paul Butts of Katy; daughter, Brenda Jo Butts of Port Arthur; sister, Louetta Mae Meyer of Magnolia; grandchildren: JoLynn, Noell, Christina, Christopher, Jeremy, Ashley, Daniel Jr., and Jackie; great-grandchildren: Katie, Seth, Jordan, Courtney, Hailey, Chris Jr., Isaiah, Sophie, Kirsten, and Austin. She is preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, her parents, and a brother. Memorials may be directed to the Brenham Church of Christ.
