Bob Swor

Bob Franklin Swor, 79, passed away October 21, 2012 in St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Bob was born February 16, 1933 in Quentin, Arkansas to Myron Quinton and Hester Hendrickson Swor. After serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, he married Barbara Blakey, on June 20, 1951. He was employed as a mechanic in the space industry. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Byron and Ludi Swor of Austin, and Blake and Cory Swor of Brenham; daughters Brenda Calvin of Brenham, and Belinda Childers and husband Bruce of Rathdrum, Idaho; grandchildren: Rachael Calvin of Brenham, Michael and Heather M. Calvin of Escandito, California, Heather R. Calvin of Nasvhille, TN., Marshall Childers of Boise, Idaho, Miranda Childers of Idaho, Brianna Swor, Ryan Swor, Lawson Swor, Cooper Swor, all of Brenham, Aaron Swor, and Aiden Swor of Austin; great-grandchildren Alyah Valera-Childers of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Terrance Calvin of Brenham, as well as nieces, nephews, and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two grandchildren, Dillon and Derek Dodd. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
