After a short battle with leukemia, Bonnelle Heine Landua, 89, of Brenham, died Jan. 24, 2004, in Trinity Care Center in Brenham. Mrs. Landua was born April 23, 1914, in the Rehburg community of Washington County, Texas, to F.H. and Dorothea Neinast Heine. On Sept. 20, 1942, she was married to Alfred Charles Landua in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rehburg by Rev. Paul Czerkus. Mrs. Landua was employed for many years at Miller Pharmacy in Brenham. She later joined her husband in his business, Landua Appliance Service, and worked as secretary and bookkeeper until his death in 1993. Mrs. Landua was active at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rehburg before moving to Brenham. She then joined St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham. She served for many years on the Cradle Roll, as a Circle Sister and a member of the choir. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, F.H. and Dora Heine; her husband of 51 years, Alfred C. Landua; five brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by her son, Ken A. Landua; daughter-in-law, Rosie Landua; and grandson, Kyle A. Landua, all of Katy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ron Kennedy, Bill Thaler, Ray Thaler, Robert Bob Whitener, Jerry Ray Roehling, Joe Neinast and Russell Neinast. Honorary pallbearers will be A.C. and Lucille Miller, Deloris Burham, Alice Kolwes, Lorene Sohns, Marie Cohen and her Circle Sisters. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. today in Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27 in St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham with Pastor Kim Little-Brooks officiating. Memorials may be given to St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church Choir Robe Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
