Brenda Joyce Barrow Morgan, 68, wife of Billie Morgan, died August 11, 2009 at her residence in Brenham, after a year-long battle with leukemia. Brenda was born in Bastrop, Texas on October 18, 1940 to George Eugene Barrow and Esther Louise Schwartz Schoedel. She was baptized March 5, 1944 at St. Paul''s Lutheran Church by Rev. Theo R. Streng, who later confirmed her at St. Paul''s on March 25, 1956. A 1959 graduate of Brenham High School, she married Billie Morgan at St. Paul''s Evangelical Lutheran Church on Feb. 14, 1960. She worked as a teacher''s assistant at BISD for 28 years, retiring in 2008. She loved to dance, play cards, travel, and spend time with her beloved family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of 49 years, Billie Morgan; son, Keith E. Morgan and daughter-in-law Karen Morgan; daughter Trisha Anne Morgan; grandchildren Tyler Keith Morgan and Brianna Ranee Morgan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Wilmer and Becky Morgan; 2 nieces, numerous cousins and friends, including her special lifelong friend of 59 years, Dotty Hensen. Preceding her in death were her mother and stepfather, Esther and Alfred Schoedel, and her father, George E. Barrow. Funeral services for Brenda Morgan will be Friday, August 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul''s Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Phillip Fenton officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are Vincent Hensen, Otis Haarmeyer, , Kenneth Renner, Jerry Haack, Franklin Schroeder and Jeffrey Rust. Honorary pallbearers are Elwood Renz and L. W. Miller. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul''s Evangelical Lutheran Church or Hospice Brazos Valley. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham.
