Carol Crosby

Carol Crosby, 72, of Brenham, TX, passed away on July 26, 2023 at the home of her dear friend and caretaker, Cookie Engeling.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2023 at the new Independence Baptist Church with Dylan Price officiating. A celebration of life will immediately follow the service at Weiss's Store, 3755 FM 390 East, Brenham, TX 77833.

Carol was born on Christmas Eve of 1950 to Shirley and Dick Crosby. She graduated from Lamar High School in 1969 and graduated with a B.A. in Fine Arts from Kansas City Art Intuition in 1979. After graduating from Kansas City Art Institution, she achieved a masters in Education from the University of Houston and also obtained her license as a massage therapist.

Carol will be remembered for her innate ability to make everyone feel special. She was a talented artist, teacher, and a compassionate healer. Carol freely gave these gifts to her many friends.

Carol is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Anne Crosby Beyer and husband David; niece, Lisha Beyer Lupher and husband Lee; nephew, Ben Beyer and wife Kristen; great nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Shirley Crosby; and step father, Palmer Greene.

Memorials may be directed to Independence Baptist Church, St. John’s Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill or charity of choice.
