Carol Cook Kiphart died Monday, January 1, 2024, in Brenham. She was born February 7, 1956 in Grand Prairie, Texas.
The only daughter and third child of R.E. Hendrick, Jr. and Christine Hendrick Underwood, Carol was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother Ronald Eugene Hendrick.
On May 4, 1974 in Houston, Carol married the love of her life---Chuck---Charles Patrick Cook, who died in 1975. She is survived by her son Corey P. Cook, his wife Leah Cramer Cook, and their son Carter P. Cook, of Brenham; and her brother Larry Hendrick and wife Deborah of Canyon, Texas; nephew Kelly Hendrick and wife Lori, grand-nieces Emma and Katherine of Webster Groves, MO.
Carol lived all over the State of Texas, but purposely and deliberately chose Brenham as her home, the place where she wanted to live and rear her young son. She attended Blinn College, graduating with an Associates Degree in English.
In celebration of her life, in late October, Carol hosted a Last Dance, with friends and family coming from all over the country to see her, and hundreds of others sending her messages. She loved seeing and hearing from them all, and they were grateful for the opportunity.
Carol's ashes will be scattered on the Texas coast, somewhere near where Chuck's ashes met the wind and surf.
