Carol Marie Quinn (Russ) unexpectedly went to her heavenly home, on January 4, 2022 in College Station. Carol was born December 15, 1961 in Houston to Richard and Shirley Russ. Carol was baptized on April 27, 2008 at Champion Fellowship Church. Carol grew up in Houston and graduated from MacArthur High School in 1980.
Carol married Bennie Quinn in Houston in 1985. They have three children Kevin, Lauren, and Kyle. In 1998, Carol and Bennie moved to Chappell Hill where they raised their children and later grandchildren. Carol work for Germania Insurance for 20 years. Carol carried several titles with Momma and Mimi being the most important. Besides spending time with family, she was an active member in the church, played a major role in the Country Creations at the Washington County Fair. When she was not volunteering for the fair or church you could find her at her grandsons sporting events, chasing the younger grandkids around, or on a girl’s trip, you could find her in the kitchen baking.
Left to cherish her memories: sister Sharon Russ, children Kevin, Lauren, and Kyle Quinn (Audry), niece Rachel McCaskill and daughter Harper, grandchildren Kavin, Kaden, Christopher, Aerynn, Teagan, Robert, Krew, and Arebella Quinn, Payton, Kayleigh, Kierston, Erin, and Grant Toone, mother in law Clara and Larry Derrick, and Bennie Quinn. Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her Germania, Washington County Fair, and church families.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Phyllis McCaskill, grandson Lance Lee Quinn, father-in-law Clarence Lee Quinn, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bennie Quinn, grandsons Kavin, Kaden, and Christopher Quinn, Corey Prestwood, and Ron Zubik.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rhonda Parsley, Debbie Zubik, Lauren Myrick, Debbie Bucko, Diana Galindo, her Germania, Washington County Fair, and Champion Fellowship Church families.
The family would like to thank the staff at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in College Station for the excellent care, and a tremendous thank you to nurses Lindsey and Becca for the compassion and exceptional care given to our mother.
Visitation will be held on Monday January 10, 2022 from 7am-7pm, with family present 5pm-7pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 11, 2022 at 11am at Champion Fellowship Church in Brenham with Pastors Tim Webb and Allen McClure officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Latium.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX 77833.
