Carrie Richardson

Carrie Laverne Richardson, 73, of Brenham, died May 6, 2006, at her residence. She was taken by the Lord in her sleep after battling illnesses. Mrs. Richardson was born April 1, 1933, in Prairie Hill, Washington County, Texas, to Willie Jr. and Carrie Marcus Wieghat. On April 17, 1933, she was baptized in St. John Lutheran Church at Prairie Hill and was confirmed on March 21, 1948, in the same church. Mrs. Richardson attended Rocky Hill School. On May 1, 1954, she was married to Jerry Lee Richardson in St. John Lutheran Church at Prairie Hill. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church at Prairie Hill. She never knew a stranger and was a joy to everyone she met. Mrs. Richardson was selflessly devoted to her family and will be deeply missed by her husband, Jerry Lee Richardson of Brenham; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judi Lea and Larry Davis of Brenham and Jerri Lynn and William Mitchell of Brenham; three grandchildren, Lauren and Preston Davis and Tyler Campbell; and two step grandchildren, Schaefer and Asic Mitchell. The family will receive visitors from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 8 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 9 at St. John Lutheran Church at Prairie Hill with Pastor Sam Koenning officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marcus Randermann, Ben Kessel, Bob DeKoch, Phillip Richardson, Allen Richardson and Johnny Randermann. Honorary pallbearer will be Bill Richardson. Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church at Prairie Hill.
