Catherine Craig

On July 9, 2017, Catherine Craig, formerly of 2403 Valley Drive, Brenham, has moved to occupy the place that Jesus has prepared for her. She is no longer a citizen of this world. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 15, at, 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church, 1100 Niebuhr. Time to visit with the family is scheduled from 6:00-8:00 on Friday, July 14, at Calvary Baptist Church.

Catherine Elizabeth Craig was born May 18, 1939, to Ray and Alpha Beatrice Prince. She was the 2nd of 8 children. Catherine graduated with honors in 1957 from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas…where she was drum major in their famous band.

June 29, 1957, Catherine and Bob Craig were married in the First Baptist Church or Highlands, Texas. Their union has been blessed with 3 children: Cheryl, Christi, and Kirby. Family was Catherine’s passion. The little family she loved so much grew, with the marriages of the daughters, to include 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. All the family loved “Mema”.

Catherine is survived by:

Husband, Bob; daughters Cheryl and husband Brad Yaw; Christi and husband Bob Guenther; and son Kirby.

Grandchildren: Matthew and wife Valarie Watkins, Amy and husband Brandon Grier, Brandon and wife Jessica Yaw, James and wife Casey Yaw, Travis and wife Lauren Guenther, Kendall and husband Cameron Brooks.

Great-grandchildren: Makayla Hargrove, Kiana Hargrove, Matthew Watkins Jr., Kaylee, Lauren, and Evelynne Grier, Twins (2 sets), Ava and Micah, Harper and Macy Yaw, Ryan and Audrey Joyce Guenther.

Brothers: Buddy Prince, Terry Prince

Everyone who knew Catherine is richer because of the relationship.

After an extended illness, God called Catherine home July 9, 2017.
