Cecil Fae Knight, 92, of Kenney, Texas, wife of William Knight, departed this world on January 17, 2008 in Brenham, Texas. Mrs. Knight was born May 6, 1915 in Alief, Texas to Franklin David and Willie Kilpatrick Lown. She married William Elliot Knight on July 13, 1962 in Freeport, Texas. She was a dedicated schoolteacher for 36 years and continued to guide and teach all those around her throughout her life. She is survived by her husband, William Bill Elliot Knight of Kenney; daughter LaVerne Demmer and husband Ed of Bay City; grandchildren Cheryl Knight, Richard Knight, Robert Knight, and Lynda Horton; great-grandchildren John Taylor, Michael Taylor, Christina Knight, Madison Horton, William Horton, and Hannah Knight. She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin David Lown; her mother Willie Kilpatrick Lown, a brother, Frank Lown, and a sister, Edith LaVerne Lown. Mrs. Knight, known to her loved ones as Mimi, was a God-sent blessing to all those whose lives she touched. Her greatest joy was her family. Memorials may be given to a charity of your choice. Funeral services for Cecil Fae Knight will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, January 20 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will take place Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:30 p.m. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
