Charles Bearden

Charles Bearden, 68, of Brenham died Friday, November 19, 2004, in the Methodist Hospital in Houston. Mr. Bearden was born March 31, 1936, to Jay and Bonnie Grimes Bearden in Houston, Texas. He was educated in schools in Los Angeles, California and served in the US Air Force. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the American Legion. Mr. Bearden worked as a real estate broker. He is survived by his wife, Donna Boyce of Brenham; sons, Jay Bearden of Los Angeles, CA; Benjamin Cooke of Brenham and Terry Williams of Brenham; daughters, Donya Bearden and Lawanda Bearden of Los Angeles, CA; Labennia Bearden of Brenham and Julie Yancy of Nebraska; brother, Lloyd Bearden of Brenham; sisters Jessie Mae Wright of Brenham, Gloria Collins of Spring and Mae Ruth Watson of Burton. The funeral service for Charles Bearden will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 2004 in Memorial Oaks Chapel with Reverend Artis Edwards officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2004 in Memorial Oaks Chapel.
