Charlie Clement Kubeczka, 87, of Houston, widower of Stella Wesolek Kubeczka, died February 5, 2009 in Houston. Mr. Kubeczka was born April 5, 1921 in Chappell Hill, Texas to Willie and Peggy Wozniak Kubeczka. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill. Charlie was employed for 37 years by National Steel Co. as a machine operator. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Jr. and Sandra Kubeczka of Plantersville; grandchildren Miranda and Wayne Seigler of Navasota; Amanda and Paul Klawinsky of Navasota, and Michael and Tracey Kubeczka of Dobbin; great-grandchildren Gabrielle Klawinsky and Raylen Seigler; brother and sister-in-law Victor and Elizabeth Kubeczka; sisters Blanche Twardowski, Catherine Meleski, Gertrude Kubeczka, Caroline Holub, and Valeria Cegielski; sisters-in-law Pauline Kubeczka and Mary Kubeczka. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Stella Kubeczka; a grandson, Brian Kubeczka; sisters Maggie Jankowski and Mary Pawlak, and brothers Steve Kubeczka, Edwin Kubeczka, Theodore Kubeczka, and Billy Kubeczka. The funeral mass for Charlie Clement Kubeczka will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappel Hill, with Fr. Vincent Chacko, celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Brenham. A rosary will be recited Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Memorials may be directed to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham.
