Cheryl Ray

Cheryl Ann (Decker) Ray, age 73, died peacefully in College Station, TX on Sept 4, 2021. She graduated from La Marque High School in 1966 and married her high school sweetheart shortly after. Cheryl had a passion for serving in her church through building projects, Vacation Bible School programs, and being the church secretary/treasurer. She was a grand champion quilter, avid Nascar fan and outstanding southern homestyle cook. She was a kind, gentle and encouraging friend but could play a fierce game of Pollyanna.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Ray and their three daughters; Shawn Downey and husband Jeff of Bentonville, AR; Christin Ray of Bryan, TX; and Lorri Lee and husband Curtis of New Braunfels, TX. Her pride and joy were her five grand children Alyssa Downey, Logan Downey, Becca Downey, Madison Lee, and Jackson Lee.
