Christine Elizabeth Cricket Ehring, 31, of Brenham, died Oct. 14, 2002, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Miss Ehring was born Jan. 3, 1971, to Charles Edmond and Lee Ann Hoot Ehring in Bethesda, MD. She was employed as an LVN. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, where she was active in singing ministry. A very family-oriented person, Miss Ehring had a special affection for her nephews. She never met a stranger. Miss Ehring loved arts and crafts and her ferret, cats and dogs. Survivors include her parents, Ed and Lee Ann Ehring of Brenham; brother, Edmund Daniel Ehring of Beale Air Force Base, CA; grandfather, Norman G. Hoot of Conroe; nephews, Joshua Daniel Ehring of Lewisville and Matthew Haeden Ehring of Sacramento, CA; and numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives. She was preceded in death by two grandmothers and one grandfather. The family will receive visitors at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham Friday, Oct. 18 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. The graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at Venetia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery near Hilltop Lakes. A memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at First Baptist Church, 210 Philips St., in Jacksonville with Pastor Grady Higgs officiating. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham 979 836-4564.
